King number one in New Zealand NBL for round 16

Naturalized American Swingman Mojave King (196-G/F-2002) had an amazing evening in the last round for Tauranga Whai, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 22-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, six rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Saints (#2, 10-4) 82-78. Tauranga maintains the 9th position in New Zealand NBL. Whai is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-7 record. In the team's last game King had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Tauranga and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jaylen Sebree (201-F-1997) of Otago Nuggets. Sebree had a very good evening with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Nuggets lost that game 92-98 to the higher-ranked Hawks (#4, 9-6). Nuggets is still in a red zone at 11th spot in the standings. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Nuggets managed to get this year. Sebree is one of the most experienced players at Nuggets and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American center Nick Muszynski (211-C-1998) of league's second-best Wellington Saints. Muszynski scored 22 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). Despite Muszynski's great performance the Saints lost 78-82 to the lower-ranked Whai (#9, 6-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Saints needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 4 lost games. Muszynski has a great season in New Zealand. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.7rpg (8th best). He also has 2.7bpg and a FGP of 68.8%.

10. Alex Robinson (185-PG-1995) of Giants - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
